Draigwen Excited about Wrath? Aug 25, 2008 12:10 AM Anyone else excited about Wrath? I recently got a beta key but the lag makes it unplayable for me. But it has made me soooo excited about the expansion. What about you?
yoruhana Hooked-On-WoW May 1, 2008 11:45 PM I started World of Warcraft back in 2005 I believe. I was watching my friend play his character for a bit and then when he left the computer, I asked if I could make a character an try it out. From there I was hooked. I love how there's interaction while you play. It's like a mini-game as you IM, or whisper, people - a $15/month messaging service. Also, the storyline is very intriguing. Blizzard did a great job with integrating your adventures to the lore of Warcraft. I currently play with my boyfriend, who is the GM of our guild, and his friends. My character is a level 70 troll priest. Go Horde! You could say that we are a hard-core raiding guild because we run BT, MH and Sunwell raids Sunday to Thursday night. Friday and Saturday are off-nights but people in our guild still run heroics, 10-mans or level alts. It is nice to meet you guys ^_^
ladygypsy Ding 68! Feb 8, 2008 4:40 AM Got my level through questiong. One more stack of 20 crystal powders and I'll be able to purchase a gemcutting recipe from Halaa. Still on the hunt for warbeads - I wish they weren't Bind on Pickup (BoP). Last night someone asked me if I wanted to join a raiding guild. Oh my gosh no...I like my guild just fine. Besides...I don't play nearly enough to be strictly raidy.
ladygypsy Bad Reputation Feb 6, 2008 11:51 AM I spent last night's mini-play session doing something I hate the most - grinding for reputation. Akromah's a jewelcrafter, and "The Consortium" has a lot of neat patterns that she doesn't know yet. Cheap patterns. Cheap, as long as you're Friendly/Honored/Exalted with them. Getting from neutral to friendly was easy to achieve just by doing their quests. But once I reached friendly, the only way for me* to increase from friendly to honored is to turn in sets of 10 Obsidian War Beads. These drop off of the ogres in Nagrand. Occasionally. So last night I slaughtered Boulderfist ogres for two hours. And I got 21 beads. I know I can do the math and find out exactly how many beads I'll need to get to exalted, but I think it'll depress me. Tonight I'll do more of the same, and since I'm less than 20K from level 68, I may get a "ding" tonight too! :) *Me, as in a lvl-67 Holy Paladin playing solo. My guildmates are prepping for their first all-guild Kara run, so I'm not going to bug them to take out lowly ogres. Plus, I feel it's unfair to the other players if I have a 5-player party of level 70s descend on a town and repeatedly wipe the mobs.
ladygypsy My World of Warcraft "life" story Feb 3, 2008 10:36 AM I logged into World of Warcraft in early 2005. I played on the Azjol-Nerub server, and got an Undead Mage up to level 39. Then I hopped over to Shadowsong to rejoin some old gaming buddies (I played Asheron's Call and City of Heroes prior to WoW) and raised up a Human rogue to 60 and a Dwarven priest up to 61. Then my guild imploded (guilds bring drama, always) and I left for about 6 or so months. I hopped to yet another server - this time Hyjal - and I currently have a level 67 Blood Elf paladin named Akromah and a stable of others under level 30. I created the World of Warcraft group here on Sugar because I'm looking for a community where people won't get criticized or dismissed for asking real questions like, "As a Holy paladin, when would I use 'Divine Intervention?'" or "How do you respond to people who think your choice in game makes you violent?" After this post, I hereby vow not to use the terms/phrases: QQ, n00b, learn to play or Chuck Norris in my World of Warcraft posts. ;)
